YAIBA all set to return: When, Where and How to watch?
There has been a recent trend of old anime getting a remake and being introduced again, and YAIBA has been the latest anime to join this queue. Yes you heard it right, YAIBA is all set to be back on television. A lot of you fans would have a memory of reading YAIBA manga and watching it’s anime a long time ago, for them it is sure to be a nostalgic experience.
About YAIBA
For those who don’t know, YAIBA is a battle shounen manga made by Aoyama Gosho, who also the creator of Detective Conan and Magic Kaito. The manga ran for 24 volumes from 1988 to 1993 and it was made into a 52 episode anime series called- Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba that ran from April 1993 to April 1994.
While the latest adaptation is said to be a remake of the old series, Aoyama is set to supervise the script for the new anime and it is sure to be a bit different from the original series. As of now, there is no update on how many episodes the series is going to feature but the unverified news about anime adaptation has been floating since 2022.
Where to Watch?
The anime would be available on TV with the name “Shin Samurai Den YAIBA”. It is scheduled to broadcasted from April 2025. Fans can watch it on Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV nationwide network on Saturday evenings at 5:30 pm. It is being produced by WIT studio and they have already released 2 teasers for the anime.
