Why does the Government hate an Anime? – Akumetsu

Problems With Akumetsu

Akumetsu has a controversial premise, presenting a violent landscape of Japan’s political and economic systems. While these themes make for compelling reading, they also present significant challenges for anime adaptation.

One of the primary reasons Akumetsu is unlikely to be animated is its explicit portrayal of violence against recognizable public figures, mainly politicians. We need to remember that they are strong people and not many studios would like to get in a mess.
