If you don’t know yet, ‘The Summer Hikaru Died’ is getting its anime adaptation and will be on your TV real soon. While a lot of fans were really happy, many are still wondering if it was too soon and if the content would be enough for the anime in the long run. ‘The Summer Hikaru Died’ is a horror genre manga. It is an award-nominated manga with nearly 2 million copies sold. The premise is about a boy who goes missing, and then returns, only for his best friend to realize that it’s “something else” in his friend’s place. And he has to resume life with this “something else”. 

Apart from it’s interesting plot, ‘The Summer Hikaru Died’ has also gained eyeballs for its beautiful art style. It is going to be a tough job for Takeshita to adapt the art style. He is not only directing this anime, but will also be series composer for it and major decisions for it would be taken by him.
