The reason is the gym, where Taiki and Chinatsu first met, it is blue in colour and like a box, thus blue box. Another reason for having blue in the title is because blue represents youth in Japan and the target audience for the anime is primarily youth.

When will Blue Box end?

While few speculate that Taiki’s graduation would be the final episode, others believe that the anime might go to the marriage epilogue of Taiki and Chinatsu.
